You can disassemble the Trailbuddy poles by unlocking the flip lock at each section, then loosen the attached nut so the poles easily slide in/out, and then finally pull the telescoping sections completely apart until they become unattached.
If you're unable to pull the sections part, simply loosen the nut a bit more. Keep in mind the nut can be completely unscrewed, so be careful not to lose it if that happens!
If the nut detaches from the flip-lock screw, simply re-attach by screwing it back on.
